Serbia have a tough assignment as they take on Euro 2024 favourites in their Group C opener on Sunday evening. England’s final warm-up raised a few eyebrows as the Three Lions fell to a surprising 1-0 defeat at the hands of Iceland. That should have given the whole squad a much-needed kick and a reminder that being favourites doesn’t guarantee victory. Gareth Southgate has had some time with his squad, and you can be sure that they’ll be ready for this one. Jude Bellingham is expected to start after a break following his Champions League triumph with Real Madrid. He could be the key to unlocking the Serbian defence, with Harry Kane keen to add to his England tally.

This won’t be as straightforward as the odds suggest. Serbia will be dangerous on the counter attack and will look for key moments to hurt England. If the Three Lions can bring their A-game, this should only go one way, but it will be competitive. We expect a tight game, but England can win this, with both teams finding the net. Harry Kane to score first is one of the more obvious single bets to side with, along with Mitrovic to be carded in the game.
